“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference”

Rens Cremers, MSc.

Rens Cremers is an external PhD candidate whose research examines racism and discrimination in sport, with a particular focus on football. Trained as an interdisciplinary social scientist, his academic work explores how social inequality is constructed and challenged within sporting contexts.

Alongside his doctoral research, Rens works as a researcher at the Mulier Institute, a leading center for sport research in the Netherlands. His work there investigates mechanisms of social inclusion and exclusion related to ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity in sport. He also studies sports cultures more broadly, with attention to how social safety is created and experienced within different sporting environments.
